We are committed to being PREMIER in our minds and hearts. We look for opportunities to be PREMIER in the sight of others. Our employees give an average 30,000+ personal volunteer hours annually. Here are a few of the organizations we serve.
First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard believe one of the most significant investments in our future should be supporting our youth's financial literacy. To ensure students have a basic understanding of finances and investing, dozens of PREMIER employees donate their time and talents to Junior Achievement each year. PREMIER also supports the growing need for financial literacy through corporate and individual giving.
Special Olympics helps people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and confidence both on and off the playing field. The organization has a presence in over 40 communities across South Dakota. PREMIER has been actively involved in Special Olympics of South Dakota since 1988. Our passionate employees volunteer to organize and staff local and regional events and games.
While PREMIER supports Lutheran Social Services (LSS) financially, perhaps our greatest gift is provided by our many dedicated and generous employees serving the Pre-K to 12th grade Youth Mentoring program. Since the program began in 2001, over 300 PREMIER employees have given their time and talents to local students. The volunteer work of our employees have played an essential role in helping individuals, families and communities find inner strength during difficult and challenging times.
PREMIER employees can often be found preparing and serving meals for The Banquet. The organization serves 16 meals per week at two locations and all meals are paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups.
PREMIER is helping combat hunger by supporting and packing boxes for Feeding South Dakota. The organization distributes food across the state, as well as provides kids food every weekend through the BackPack Program.
Make a difference today in the lives of others inside and outside of the company.
PREMIER is one of the largest United Way donors in each of the communities we serve: Sioux Falls, Madison, Watertown, Huron and Dakota Dunes. More than ninety percent of our 2,300+ employees contribute through one-time or ongoing paycheck donations, or by joining the Heart and Rising Heart clubs.
Through donations and sponsorships, PREMIER and its employees support numerous non-profit and charitable entities. You’ll often find a member of the PREMIER team serving on a board of directors or actively raising money.
Each summer, First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard team up with the City of Sioux Falls to host a series of free track & field meets for our community. The events are held on most Wednesdays in June.
For just a few dollars a paycheck, our employees can wear corporate wear and jeans on Fridays. This campaign raises thousands of dollars that we use to provide funds for children’s programs, high school athletics, community arts, and more.
At PREMIER, it’s about doing what's right for our customers, employees and communities by investing in academics and athletics, arts and entertainment, families and economic development.
We’re investing in the potential of young people and our state’s future by providing for university, college and technical school scholarships and internships.
PREMIER is investing in the future by supporting groundbreaking research, academics and athletics on the campuses of our state’s schools.
PREMIER provides support for many organizations, but the ones that help children and families are especially close to our hearts.
PREMIER invests in our local communities by participating in and supporting the things that enhance community life and drive economic growth.
